PCOS30 Approved: Cinnamon Apple Chips - You're My Dear!

17 Recipe

Simple cinnamon-sugar-free oven-baked apple chips!

Crispy baked apple chips are a nutritious snack that the whole family will enjoy

Making your own apple chips is simple, even if you don't have a fancy dehydrator.

To make these, choose a crisper apple. Softer ones will not crisp up as well.

Ingredients

2 Apples, thinly sliced

1/2 tsp. PCOS30 Cinnamon Powder

How do you make Cinnamon Apple Chips in the oven?

  1. Preheat the oven to 95°C. Toss the apples with the cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Place a metal rack inside a rimmed baking sheet. Arrange apple slices on top of the rack, separating them so that no apples overlap.

  3. Bake for 2 to 3 hours, flipping halfway through, until the apples are dry but still malleable. (Apples will continue to crisp as they cool.)

Got an air fryer?

Use it! It will make incredibly crispy chips in a fraction of the time that your oven would.

  1. Toss apples with cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Working in batches, arrange apples in an air fryer basket in a single layer (some overlap is okay).

  2. Bake for 12 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius, flipping every 4 minutes.

Storage

Store your apple chips in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Note: Use the sharpest knife you have and (carefully) slice as thin as possible into rounds, about 1/8" thick. The thinner the slice, the better the crisp.

Cinnamon Apple Chips are naturally dairy-free, gluten-free and PCOS30 Approved!

Enjoy!
