Stress Can Affect your Health

Pay attention if you are stressed all the time- it may contribute to many health risks which can endanger your life.

This is another thing that can stress you but you know it. Stress can make you sick.

"Stress doesn't only make us feel awful emotionally," says Jay Winner, MD, author of Take the Stress Out of Your Life and director of the Stress Management Program for Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, Calif. "It can also exacerbate just about any health condition you can think of."

Many health problems have been linked to stress, according to studies. Obesity, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, depression, gastrointestinal issues, and asthma appear to be exacerbated or increased by stress.

You may still be perplexed as to why. Why is it that stress makes us sick? Why would an emotional experience have such a negative impact on our bodies?

Stress isn't only a feeling. Stress isn't only something you think about. It's a natural biological reaction to a threat. When you're under stress, your body reacts. The blood arteries in your body constrict. Your heart rate and blood pressure both increase. You take deeper breaths. Hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are released into your system.

Chronic stress causes physiologic changes that can lead to health problems over time.

There is some good news before you get too worked out about being stressed out. Following a few basic stress relief methods will help you feel less stressed while also lowering your health risks.

1. To improve your health, eat and drink the right things. Some people try to relieve stress by drinking too much alcohol or overeating. These acts may appear to help in the short term, but they may increase stress in the long run. Caffeine can amplify the negative consequences of stress. Stress can be alleviated by eating a healthy, well-balanced diet. You can get your PN Guide for your nutrition.

2. Exercise regularly. Exercise has been demonstrated to be a potent stress reliever in addition to its physical health advantages. Set fair goals for yourself and choose non-competitive aerobic exercise, weightlifting, or movement exercises like yoga or Tai Chi. Endorphins—natural compounds that help you feel better and keep a pleasant attitude—have been demonstrated to be released during aerobic exercise.

3. Tobacco and nicotine products should be avoided. Nicotine users frequently refer to it as a stress reliever. Nicotine, on the other hand, causes the body to become more stressed by increasing physical arousal and decreasing blood flow and respiration.

4. Make a statement. It's fine to say "No" to requests for your time and energy that may cause you undue stress. You don't have to always live up to others' expectations.

5. Take Probiotics. According to studies, probiotics have been found to relieve negative emotions, alleviate abnormal behaviors, improved cognitive function, and also show the great potential of probiotics in reducing psychological stress.
